Our New Daughter Emilie Faith!

Finally! After 4 long years, 3 months and 5 days

(but who’s counting?) here she is!

Emilie Faith Bellah.

We were hoping the referral would come on Monday, but we weren’t sure if it would happen.

We got a phone call at 3:00 and we pretty much flew out of the house to go meet Steve so we could all look at the pictures together.

Name: Yang, Chun Hua Yun

DOB: 11/10/09 (one day before her Mama’s on the 11th!)

Location: Yang Chun Orphanage in the Guandong Province

Height: 61 cm

Weight: 7.9 kg or 17.5 lbs

Head Circumference: 42 cm

Our New Preschooler

Kaylie had her first day of preschool on Monday, and she absolutely loves it! Her teachers say she has been a good girl so far ( a relief for her mama!) and she is excited to go every day. When I dropped her off she didn't even hesitate or look back to say good bye. She is quite an independent little thing. The school actually has webcams so you can check in from time to time and see what your child is doing, which is a nice feature to have. Every time I looked she is playing and having fun. Right now we are just adjusting to a new, somewhat earlier schedule and getting our routine down, but hopefully it won't always be a mad dash to get out the door on time. I'm just glad she gets to socialize for a few hours, and I get time alone to work or just relax.
